Foundations and early beginnings
St. Joseph’s High School first opened its doors in 1964, officially celebrated with a formal opening in 1965 by Cardinal Conway. Founded to serve post-primary pupils across the local parishes—including Upper Creggan, Lower Creggan, and Forkhill/Mullaghbawn.

A New Era and a £20 Million State-of-the-Art Building
The new £19.6m St Joseph’s High School in Crossmaglen was officially opened.
Archbishop Eamon Martin DD, Archbishop of Armagh, Primate of Ireland gave his blessing on the school which welcomed its first pupils through its doors in September 2023.
