To inspire analytical minds, foster social awareness, and empower students to understand the mechanisms of human behaviour and society. We aim to equip our students with the critical thinking, research, and evaluation skills necessary to navigate and positively influence an ever-changing world.

Curriculum

Sociology KS4 : Eduqas Exam

EDUQAS GCSE Sociology explores how society shapes our lives. Students study topics such as families, education, inequality, and crime, while developing skills in analysis and evaluation. Assessment is through two written exams (each 1 hour 45 minutes) at the end of the course (year 12), testing knowledge, application, and extended writing.

Sociology KS5 - WJEC

WJEC AS & A Level Sociology builds on core sociological ideas to explore how society is structured and how it influences behaviour. Students study areas such as education, families, culture and identity, crime, and social inequality, while applying key theories and research methods. Assessment is through written exams at the end of each year (AS and A Level), featuring short answers and extended essays that test knowledge, analysis, and evaluation skills.

Psychology KS5 - WJEC

WJEC AS & A Level Psychology explores how the mind and behaviour are shaped by biological, cognitive, and social factors. Students study topics such as memory, attachment, mental health, and research methods, developing strong analytical and evaluation skills. Assessment is through written exams at the end of each year, combining short-answer questions and extended essays to test knowledge, application, and critical thinking.
